The best things I've learned:
Bring Zip Ties, Hanging Shoe Organizers, Extra bags to carry your stuff off the ship since you leave your suitcase out the night before, Post It Notes, an extension cord or power outlet too. And I use a smaller accordian file to store documents, extra cash, passports, etc....
